Ddeokbokki, a savory prepared Korean rice cake dish, has a special place in my heart.
I’ve always only had the gochujang broth Ddeokbokki.
And then, I met my Korean snack all time favorite sometime in March 2015.
At Tongin market in Seoul.
Chili pepper flakes-oil rice cakes. This gooey, chewey stir-fried rice cake goodness spoiled me for the rest of my life. I’ll still have the gochujang version as well, but oil Ddeokbokki is so easily done at home, it will be my all time favorite, I guess.
That’s why I made a little variety at home the other day. A Chili pepper version and a soy sauce version.
